Sexton Woods:
Sexton Woods is my favorite neighborhood in Chamblee. For those who can afford the mid $200's to the mid $300's and demand more closet space than Huntley Hills Sexton Woods is a good option. While some prefer the "cute" cottage style homes of Ashford Park, and Keswick Village, I prefer this neighborhood because for the same money you can get an extra bathroom. Nearly every home in Sexton Woods has at least 2 baths, and while they are still "1950's" homes, the style is not as harsh as the military style of Huntley Hills.
Sexton Woods also has on average larger lots than most in the area and many basement lots making room for some larger split level homes and two story traditionals. Within the past several years Sexton Woods has seen spot building upwards of $800k, though it might be a few years before this trend regains momentum.
Sexton Woods is in a convenient location, with easy access to GA 400, Ashford Dunwoody, Peachtree Rd, and Johnson Ferry.
Sexton Woods backs up to Keswick Park and Blackburn Park with baseball, tennis, basketball, and soccer just around the corners.
While it is a little further away from Buckhead than Ashford Park it seems to be worth the drive for larger families and those who have graduated from the Buckhead lifestyle.
